For a customer I got the assignment to explore the new SAP NetWeaver Gateway Productivity Accelerator using the HANA Studio.
I've installed the HANA Client & HANA Studio (Version: 1.00.85.0) and (what I assume is all the required) extra software from the links below.

I'm now able to edit basic abap code in the HANA Studio (which was also required).
What I would like to become is to have a visual way of creating an oData model as I would via the standard sap transaction 'SEGW' (a lot of experience with this).
Is there any basic tutorial at hand for an oData model creation via this tool?
Or can anybody help me out?
Any basic step by step information would be MORE then welcome!
Every helpfull answer will receive points.

Creating an Odata service using RFC function module, Service has been developed in system A which is dev system where as RFC function module is developed in system B which is also a dev system, There is a RFC destination created in between 2 systems say BCLNT001. While creating service in system A I used RFC destination as BCLNT001.
My doubt is RFC destination is created between 2 dev systems, same RFC destination will not be available in Quality and prod systems. So how to handle this scenario.
Is there any way where we can assign RFC destination based on system while creating service.
There is a requirement to implement SAPUI5 in our landscape. Currently our ECC is on version ERP 6.0 EHP6. The plan is to install a new netweaver gateway system and use that to connect ECC & SAPUI5 client tools. I've few queries as part of that,
1) What are the addons that need to be installed in new Netweaver gateway system?
2) What are the addons that need to be installed in the ECC system?
3) Whether installing the addons in ECC system require any downtime?
4) Whether installing the addons in ECC impact any other components like SAP_BASIS, SAP_APPL etc?
5) Can the new netweaver system be installed with 7.4 version whereas our current ECC SAP_BASIS version is 731?

Am an infant when it comes to ODATA development.
i have been reading up as much as i can, but i need your help with a requirement analysis of mine.
there is a main window of the UI5 screen, which has the details of a Service order.
when the user clicks on a particular button(to create a sub service order), certain fields that are available in the main window should be automatically populated in the window that pops up.
The UI fetches the data from an SAP r?3 backend system using Odata protocols.
I am aware of how the services are mapped to the data provider and model provider classes.
can this be handled from a gateway perspective, by making modification in the classes in the backend?

Dear Experts.
When I am testing my Odata service, It is showing blank screen in HTTP Response even after status code is 200, It is showing 'Json' format correctly problem with 'XML' format only. I think it is the problem with my system, If I test the same service on another system it is working fine.
Kindly find attached screen shot for reference.

Hi,
We are trying to upload excel/.doc files through gateway.
We get an error on gateway client :
"An invalid character was found in text content"
All other file types can be uploaded with create_Stream method.
Any inputs on the possible causes for same?

Do you know how such a thing can be implemented? Do we have to push messages first to SAP gateway , and then to the SAPUI5 application?"

My customer is having nearly 1000 employees in the organization. We are planning to enable Fiori leave request application for them to apply leave. Is it required to have named users (~1000 users ) in ECC to access Fiori leave request application ? Enterprise portal is also planned in the landscape . Does it make any difference here , when we deploy Fiori applications in EP ?

We are currently in the process of upgradring our system landscape - with a SAP Gateway deployed as a Central Hub. The first thing we are going to do is to upgrade our Manager Self Service. Today we use the portal, but in the future we only want to use the Suite Page Builder Application - providing access to Manager Self Service in SAPUI5. - Later - when the Launchpad is merged with NWBC HTML into a combined launchpad - we might consider this. But until then -we will skip our portal, and only use the suite page builder.
As of now - we have done some prototyping - on our sandbox environment - where the gateway was installed on the server server (local gateway).
But now that gateway has been deployed as a central hub - i want to be sure that we a on the right track - with our architectural considerations - regarding deployment and distribution of our users.
As I understand it:
We have to access the suite-page-builder application (The UI5 application) from the Central Hub Gateway - ie this Netweaver Server has its Webserver exposed and serves the html pages to our end users. And then the masterdata is off course served as ODATA to the UI5 applications - all running on the central hub - and reading data from the backend server (our HR Server).
The Pagebuilder therefore also has to be configured on the central hub system, as well as the pfcg roles, the launchpad (lpd_cust) customizing.
As a result of this- we will have to create all our users with login details and role assignment on the central hub right?
Is the above approach the right one?

We are facing an issue with attachments in Gateway. We are using SAP DMS for our attachments. since gateway sends the attachment in Binary format and we are not able to find any BAPI/FM to create DMS attachments as none of them accepts binary format. We tried to use BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 but it needs the path as import parameter and but since the document get attached in background in the create stream method in the DPC class we cannot use a path in front end like (c:\temp\test.txt), so please advice how to achieve this.

Hello Experts,
I have working standard PO/PR approval Fiori Apps. I am working on extending them, however, when use T code /iwfnd/maint_service and open Service Implementation, it does not open it for me. It works well for TASKPROCESSING services, but does not open service implementation for any other services.
1) I tried /IWBEP/REG_SERVICE to open Service Implementation. I cannot find GBAPP_POAPPROVAL or GBAPP_PRAPPROVAL services there.
2) RFC destination with System Alias is working correctly. I double checked.
I tried looking for notes, I didn't find anything. I am not sure what is missing.
Gateway is a HUB deployment.

I have custom RFC on ECC with deep structure as below. There is no input, the RFC populates the HDR.

Now @ Gateway side, am trying to create Odata service for the above.
a) 3 Entity types created with respective keys
b) 3 Entity sets created
c) 2 Association sets HDR(1)>>ITEM(1:n) and ITEM(1)>>DETAIL(1:n), created along with its Navigation property
d) Runtime Artificats have generated successfully
e) created MapToDatasource for GetEntitySet on HDR no issues
f) When i try to create MapToDatasource for GetEntitySet on ITEM ---> ERROR
Data source parameter HFLD1 is in a deep structure and is not supported.
Data source parameter IFLD1 is in a deep structure and is not supported.
Same error repeats for DETAIL on hfld1, ifld1 and dfld1
